“Ova” was the trademark of a floatation bath manufacturer in the 1980s. The word “Ovarium” contains the Latin ovum, meaning egg, which refers to the ovoid form of our floatation baths and quite symbolically, a return to our initial life source.

Ovarium is a Spa accessible to people with reduced mobility! We simply ask you that you specify if you are in a wheelchair when you get an appointment so that a spot on the first floor can be reserved for you. Accessibility to certain services may be limited (depending on the degree of autonomy). Please ask the reception about this.
We accept children of at least 8 years of age for Pulsar (PSiO) and NeuroSpa treatments. However, it is the responsibility of the parent to judge the maturity of their child.
- A parent or guardian in the room must accompany children 11 years of age during the entire hour of the treatment.
- Floatation Bath is not recommended for young girls who have not had their first menstruation. Why? It’s simply a question of vaginal PH.
A child must be at least 11 years old to get a massage at Ovarium. In addition, in order to conform to the regulations of Spa Relais Santé, a health assessment must be signed by a parent or guardian for any child under the age of 16. The parent or guardian must also be present during the massage.

Client information is confidential, and it's highly improbable that someone will use someone else's name to pay. Nevertheless, in case there's doubt, all appointments paid with a subscription can be traced in the system and verified.

Our primary mission is to offer a space dedicated to relaxation and rejuvenation for the body and mind. Therefore all of our services are dedicated to that mission, whether it is Floatation Bath, Massage, Pulsar or NeuroSpa.
The floatation bath is a personal relaxation area of rejuvenation and growth. The space was carefully designed to comfortably accommodate one person. It isn't suitable for two or more people.
The floatation bath is ideal for pregnant women as it allows them to experience weightlessness. Also, contrary to Thermal Spas where temperature variations can be an issue, there are no contraindications for floatation baths where the water is kept at the skin's natural temperature.
- A detailed introduction is given to clients who are experiencing the floatation bath for the first time.
- A mandatory shower is required before entering the floatation bath.
- One complete hour of floating.
- A rinsing shower after the session.
- Discussion with the massage therapist for health assessment and an understanding of the client's needs.
- One complete hour of massage.

Only a small percentage of the population are unaware that they suffer from epilepsy (i.e. about one in 20,000). For these people, pulsating lights like a strobe can cause discomfort. If you experience any discomfort, simply remove the glasses.
No. The lights used in the glasses are tiny light emitting diodes (LEDs) which are quite safe and actually of a lower intensity than a regular light bulb. During a session, we recommend you keep your eyes closed to remain in a deeper state of relaxation. If desired, we can adjust the brightness to suit your preference.
With regards to floatation baths, we strongly recommend experiencing them without clothes for the most comfortable experience. For massage, a cover will always cover you and only the area being massaged is uncovered in order to respect your privacy; it's more comfortable if you're not wearing anything but we respect the wishes of our guests should they want to keep any measure of clothing on.
The Epsom Salt and other cleaning products that we use in the water will not affect your hair colouring in any way. However, it's very important to carefully wash your hair prior to using our floatation baths to make sure none of your hair colouring products gets mixed in to the floatation bath water.
There are no known contraindications to Floatation Baths. However, it is possible that the Epsom salt may irritate any skin sensitivity or wounds. This is why it's best to avoid floating when you have a skin rash or other serious outbreak. If only a small region of your skin is affected, petroleum jelly can be applied to prevent the salt from coming in contact with the sensitive region, allowing the float experience to be a pleasant and comfortable one.
Epsom salt is the common name of magnesium sulphate. When large quantities are dissolved in water as it is in our floatation baths (where more than 2000 cups of it are used), it allows the body to float effortlessly on water. It is also known for its therapeutic effects: helping blood and lymphatic circulation, reducing muscle tension, improving sleep, helping in the control of one's emotions, and reducing stress. It is also used as a safe and natural laxative or purgative solution. Epsom Salt can be purchased in most regular drugstores.
The liquid in the floatation baths is composed of water, Epsom salt and safe cleaning products, all of which are filtered between each session. Additionally, many tests and cleaning procedures are carried out on a daily basis and our water is sampled and tested many times a day in order to guarantee that the highest quality standards are met.
You may want to bring a small snack. You also have the option to buy our nuts, granola bars, and health patties at reasonable prices.
