This is why our massage therapists have each been specially chosen for their love of massage therapy, as well as the artistic touch they personally add to their training and experience.
Ovarium also fosters an individual and personalized approach, based on the specific needs of the client, drawing on a vast selection of techniques and practices. Also, Ovarium is the first to have perfected a confidential and efficient computerized health assessment system that is completed by the massage therapist to insure a personalized follow up of your general state of health as well as your specific needs.
To guarantee real quality control, all our massage therapists are members of a recognized professional association. They perform a maximum of five massages per day and dedicate 1.5 hours to each client in order to take the time to establish the health assessment and offer a quality follow-up.
Japanese facial massage

Lymphatic drainage massage

Lymphatic drainage is a gentle massage technique that encourages the circulation of lymph fluids in the body, thus promoting the elimination of waste and toxins. The technique consists in applying light pressure to the skin in circular movements using the palms and fingers.

This massage uses different techniques to relieve pain in specific areas and reduce the effects of stress on the body. The techniques used vary depending on the training and professional judgment of the massage therapist. They include Swedish, Californian, Thai oil, shiatsu table, and lomi lomi massage.
Each technique is also available individually.
Hot stone massage

This massage is carried out using hot stones, which will immediately help your muscles relax. It’s also an excellent way to promote blood circulation, reduce stress and fatigue, improve cellular metabolism, and stimulate lymphatic functions.
Prenatal lateral massage

This type of massage is performed by an experienced massage therapist while the expecting mother lies on her side—a comfortable position during pregnancy. During this soothing treatment, which combats mental and physical fatigue, expecting mothers have a chance to relax and connect with their baby.
Prenatal belly massage

Done by experienced massage therapists, this massage technique is specially designed to assist pregnant women as of the fourth month of pregnancy. It promotes relaxation and reduces the discomfort of pregnancy, all while improving the physical and emotional well-being of the expecting mother and her baby.
Massage for children aged 8 and up

Designed for younger clients, this technique offers all the benefits of traditional massage therapy, such as reduced muscle tension and improved blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, which help strengthen the immune system. Children aged 14 and under will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the massage; a parent/child dual massage option is also available.

Very deep massage

A very deep oil massage is a high-pressure massage that releases muscle tension and can help you relax. Please note that this is not a deep tissue massage.
Kobido Massage

Developed in Japan in the 15th century, this toning facial massage stimulates and firms the skin on the face, neck, décolleté, and shoulders. It also helps eliminate toxins by activating the lymph nodes of the face. This intense yet relaxing treatment is performed with the fingers, bamboo sticks, and small suction cups. It relieves facial tension and helps plump up the skin.

Recommendations
- Please arrive ten minutes before your scheduled appointment time so you won’t feel rushed.
- We recommend that you avoid consuming large meals, diuretic drinks, and stimulants such as caffeine before your session.
- Please note that for your massage therapy session, you can either be naked or wear your undergarments under a sheet or towel.
Fever
- Having a massage can increase a fever and make you feel worse.
Acute inflammation
- Having a massage can increase inflammation and worsen your condition. It’s best to wait until the inflammation has subsided before getting a massage.
- Inflammation is the result of a recent trauma (injury). The affected area will be red and feel hot to the touch.
Phlebitis
- Having a massage can dislodge the blood clot and cause more serious problems.
- Phlebitis is the result of a blood clot forming in the deep veins of the lower limbs.
